Premolded straight screened separable cable connector
CSS-A 1224 kV
We have updated our premolded straight screened
separable cable connector CSS-A to fit in all switchgears
with standard bushings of the external cone type
EN 50181, 250 A with plug-in 7.9 mm. The new rubber
body has an additional trace for adjusting the bail restrain
in two different levels.
Application area
CSS-A for XLPE-insulated 1- or 3-core cable with Al- or
Cu-conductor for 1224 kV. It can be installed in switchgears
both indoors and outdoors.
Standard
Meets the requirements of CENELEC, HD 629.1 S2
Fulfill the requirements for touch proof safety.
Design
CSS-A is manufactured in rubber with three layers; a
conductive inner layer, an insulation layer and a conductive
outer layer, that are vulcanized together for the best possible
interface between the layers.
The cable connectors include both a capacitive test point
with protection and an integrated earthing wire.
To be delivered in 3-phase kits, complete with cable lugs,
screw connection and stress grading adapter.
For 3-core cables, a screen separation kit can be ordered
separately.
