Connectin SoMove Lite Via Ethernet - IP Card - FAQ

To connect a SoMove Lite device to an Altivar 61/71 drive via EtherNet/IP, the user must: 1) click the "Edit Connection" icon and select the "Remote Gateway" and "Advanced" options; 2) enter the IP address of the EtherNet/IP card in the drive and the Modbus network address set in the drive, which must match the address in SoMove Lite; 3) press "Test" to validate the connection and hit "OK" to save.

Procedure to connect SoMove Lite to an

Altivar 61/71 drive via the EtherNet/IP card


port

Click on the Edit Connection icon:

Select Remote Gateway option

Select Advanced option

Enter the Ethernet IP card IP address and the Modbus


Network address set in the drive (Default Modbus Network
address in the drive is set to OFF. You must set a
Modbus Address in the drive in menu 1.9 Communication,
Modbus Network and Modbus Address and match it to the
SoMove Lite Address field below). Hit OK

Press Test and validate the connection

Hit OK

Select Connect
