Educational Park For Transformation of Rural India in Emerging Economy

The document discusses establishing Educational Parks in rural India to transform rural education. It notes that post-independence, India recognized education as a tool for social change and community development. However, rural education programs have faced issues with inadequate funding and understaffing of government schools. As a solution, the document proposes building Educational Parks that would connect to and serve multiple surrounding villages within a 50km radius. These parks would have clusters of schools and colleges providing pre-nursery through college education as well as vocational and technical courses to help develop students' personalities and skills.

EDUCATIONAL PARK FOR TRANSFORMATION OF RURAL INDIA IN EMERGING

ECONOMY
Following independence, India observed education is a valuable tool for bringing social
change through community development. The community development programmes consist of
agriculture, animal husbandry, cooperation, rural industries, rural engineering, health and
sanitation including family welfare, family planning, women welfare, child care and nutrition,
education including adult education, social education and literacy, youth welfare and community
organization. In each of these areas of development there are several programmes, schemes and
activities which are additive, expanding and reduction off covering the total community, some
segments, or specific target populations such as small and marginal farmers, artisans, and women
and in general people below the poverty line.
The government continued to view rural education as an agenda that could be fairly free
from bureaucratic backlog and general stagnation. However, in some cases lack of financing
balanced the gains made by rural education institutes of India. Some ideas failed to find
satisfactoriness among India's poor and investments made by the government sometimes yielded
little results. Today, government rural schools remain inadequately funded and understaffed.
Several foundations, such as the Rural Development Foundation (Hyderabad), actively build
high-quality rural schools, but the number of students served is small.
As a solution for the rural education system Education Park can be build which connect
them to serve all the villages within a 50 km radius of the central locality (Education Park). The
key will be to ensure reliable and safe bus services linking all the villages to the educational Park
to enable students to reach the education Park from their villages. Every education Park can have
a cluster of schools and colleges (for pre-nursery, nursery, primary, secondary & colleges along
with the vocational courses, technical courses and some other related courses which helps for the
personality development of the students.)
