Proposal Library Management System

This document provides a proposal for developing a Library Management System for Horizon Campus. Horizon Campus.

AIM OF PROJECT
The aim of this project is to build a Library
Management System by designing, developing and
evaluating effectively and efficiently with the use of
the modern technologies to make the tasks of the
library activities reliable and efficient.

OBJECTIVES
Develop a more reliable and efficient automated system than a paper
based manual system
To have a very user friendly interface.
Reduce the work load of the library staffs.
Search for the availability of the book without effort.
Reduce the errors.
Create a database to store large amount of data (Books, Members etc.)
Faster processes of book borrow, return and access information.
Keep up to date information.
To make the maintenance of the library easier.
Able to generate report on books borrowed, member details, books not
returned easily and efficiently.
Able to extent the software according to future needs with new
functionalities.
