Course Plan No Track

This four-year plan outlines a course of study for a Bachelor of Science in Data Science at NKU. In the first year, the plan focuses on foundational math, programming, and general education courses. The second year adds additional programming, database, and discrete math courses. Years three and four include more advanced courses in programming, operating systems, databases, algorithms, and software engineering to provide students with a rigorous data science education. The plan ensures degree completion in four years for a student entering with the required math qualifications and follows NKU's curricular framework and requirements.

Appendix A: Student Four-Year Plan

Below is a proof-of-concept four-year plan, showing that a sufficiently rigorous Bachelor of Science in Data Science
can be implemented within NKUs curricular framework. As part of the Data Science program, a student will have an
automatic minor in Computer Science. This plan is for a student who enters NKU with a mathematics ACT score
of 25 or higher. Guided electives can be chosen from a list of BIS, CSC, MAT, and STA classes found in the course
catalog.
