The intent of my letter is to apply for the Student Internship (Electrical) position posted by your organization on
the University of Washington career website. My name is Huy Vu Le and I am currently a junior at the Electrical
Engineering department at this university. I expect to obtain my Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering by the
autumn of 2015. My concentration is in circuit design, devices, power electronics and large scale power systems, which
trains me on the essential processes of working on electrical engineering projects such as recording readings, data
analysis, using lab equipment to conduct experiments, Analyzes supplier designs and tests troubleshoots for network
systems. I am writing to express my desire in working with the company because I want to gain field experience in
electrical engineering and learn about different aspects of electronic. Working at the Verizon will give me an invaluable
opportunity to learn from experienced and intelligent engineers, and allow me to apply my skills in a real world setting
and contribute to make an immediate impact.
I believe that I am qualified for this position because I fulfill the requirements and qualifications needed to be
successful in this internship. I enjoy working in a hands-on environment and have a lot of experience doing calculations
and using test equipment for projects. In addition, I consider myself to be insightful, conscientious, and making myself
approachable to coworkers. My communication, organization, and interpersonal skills are strong, which makes me easy to
work with. Furthermore, I have a strong technical and computer aptitude as well as strong mathematics skills. For
example, I have experience with some software programs such as SolidWorks, MATLAB, Java, Multisim, and Microsoft
Office, which may be useful to you, and I am very willing to learn how to use new software if necessary. Finally, I have a
strong attention to detail and work very carefully in everything that I do.
I would like to meet with you to assess my suitability as a student intern at the Verizon, and discuss possible employment
