Indian Institute of Technology Indore: Department of Electrical Engineering
The document is a tutorial on electrical engineering that contains 4 problems and their answers regarding transformer parameters and efficiency calculations. Problem 1 involves calculating the parameters of the equivalent circuit for a 1kVA transformer from open and short circuit test results. Problem 2 calculates the efficiency of the same transformer at various loads and power factors. Problem 3 estimates the efficiency of a 1kVA transformer at full load with a power factor of 0.9, given its maximum efficiency of 92% at 76% load and unity power factor. Problem 4 calculates the daily average efficiency of a 5kVA transformer with given core and load losses, operating under varying load conditions throughout the day.
