Blend Tool
Objective:
To create a part by using the blend tool.
Procedure:
1.Start Pro Engineer.
2.Open a solid part file.
.!o" clic# $nsert%Blend%Protrusion. The blend options &enu "ill open in a "indo"
as sho"n belo":
'.The parallel option s#etches the sections parallel to each other. The rotational option
s#etches the sections at a user defined angle of the datu& planes and the (eneral
option re)uires the *+, di&ension of a section "ith respect to the previous.
-.The options that are selected in the above figure sho" that the sections "ill be
parallel. it "ill be a regular blend not fro& a project and user "ill s#etch the sections.
/fter selecting these options "e "ill clic# 01one0.
2.The follo"ing "indo"s "ill open. The protrusion blend "indo" sho"s the steps
re)uired in the blend tool and the attributes &enu as#s the user "hether the blend "ill
be s&ooth or straight. 3e "ill select the s&ooth blend option and clic# 01one0.

4.!o" "e "ill be pro&pted to select the s#etching plane and its references for
orientation just as in the s"eep tool.
5./fter these selections "e "ill go in to the s#etching &ode. /fter the first s#etch all
the s#etches "ill be &ade by first clic#ing S#etch%6eature Tools%Toggle section. The
circles have to be &ade in a se)uence of '7. 27. 7 and -7 units. /ll circles are
concentric. The s#etch is sho"n belo":
8.!o" clic# the done button of the s#etching &ode and the ProE "ill pro&pt us the
depth bet"een the sections. 6or this part "e "ill select the depth bet"een the first t"o
sections to be 2- units. for the ne9t t"o also 2- units and for the last t"o sections
2-units.
