3) The eligibility criteria for engineer trainees includes having a BE/BTech degree completing in 2012, first class marks in SSC and HSC, 55% aggregate marks up to 6th semester or 58% overall aggregate, no more than 4 ATKTs/backlogs, no drop in any semester, maximum age of 24 as of 1st July 2012, and meeting medical standards.

2. First class in SSC / X Std. First class in HSC / XII Std. Candidate should have passed both the examinations in first attempt.
3. The students from Gujarat and Maharashtra region colleges should have 55% aggregate marks up to 6th semester in the engineering Degree course. However the overall aggregate marks after the final Engineering result should be minimum 58%. (No semester-wise cut off / minimum percentage)
4. Candidate should not have more than 4 ATKTs / Backlogs during his entire Degree Engineering course. All backlogs / ATKTs, live as well as cleared to be counted as the total no. of ATKTs / Backlogs throughout the history of engineering for the purpose of eligibility.
(Subject not cleared in the first attempt, Paper (theory / practical) not appeared for in the regular semester, for any reason, will be also treated as backlogs / ATKT, even if, subsequently cleared.)
5. No drop in any semester/ year throughout Degree course.
6. Age: Not more than 24 years as on 1st July 2012.
