1. Getting to the site
1.1.1. Open web browser
1.1.2. Type in www.wikispaces.com
2. Establishing an account
2.1.1. Select education
2.1.2. Enter desired information
2.1.2.1.1. Enter personal username
2.1.2.1.2. Enter personal email address
3. Verify email address
3.1.1. Open new browser window or tab
3.2.1. Open email account and focus email from wikispaces
3.3.1. Review the information and select the link to verify the account
4.Creating a classroom
4.1.1. In the window select create wiki
4.2.1 Establish the name of the wiki space
4.3.2. Enter the name
4.3.3. Enter the school information
4.3.4. Enter the course information

Step Action on Screen Narration
1 Introductory Screen Hi, welcome to the tutorial
for setting up wiki spaces
for your classroom
2 Blank webpage, zoom to url bar To get started you will
need to open your
preferred internet
browser. For this tutorial,
we will use Google Chrome.
3 Enter URL and load wikispaces landing
page
Type in
www.wikispaces.com,
when the page loads, select
Education
4 Wiki spaces education landing page
Zoom in to username area and ype
in username, email address and
password
Select create classroom
Here is where you will
enter the information for
yourself.
5 Dashboard:
Highlight/hover over the areas that
demonstrate what narration is speaking
about.
When you first log in you
will see the dashboard.
From here you can find the
behind the scenes
information for the
account, settings and the
profile. You may also use it
to review messages.
6 Dashboard:
Zoom in to the notice about the email sent
to the email address
You may have noticed the
information symbols at the
top of the page. This means
we need to verify the email
address. So lets go do that.
7 Email account, zoomed in to the specific
email
Open the email from
[email protected] and
follow the directions by
clicking on the link to
confirm your email.

8 Dashboard:
Highlight/hover over the areas that
demonstrate what narration is speaking
about.
It is important to point out
that inside your dashboard
you may view additional
informational videos about
wikispaces.
9 Dashboard:
Zoom into Create Wiki
Now, lets create a wiki for
our class.
10 Pop-up window for Selecting Industry
Select Higher ed and continue
Here youll need to select
what is most appropriate
for you. Because this is part
of a higher ed. Course, Im
selecting Higher Ed.
11 Make a new wiki Window Now you get to create the
name of your wiki! Follow
the steps on screen to
enter your information as
best you can.
12 Fill out the form for the wiki Remember to enter your
wikispace name with your
parents or students in
mind. Do not overthink it.
13 Select add Now select add
14 Wiki Space Course Page And voila! Now you have
created your course. Add
some content and then
youll be ready to add
students.
