Revised Haiti Postcards

An art exhibit titled "Haiti" by photographer Jane Evelyn Atwood will be on display from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM in the exhibit space of Lane Hall at the University of Michigan. The exhibit features photographs taken by Atwood in Haiti between 2005 and 2007 in various cities and locations. Atwood states that while she initially went to Haiti for an assignment in 2005, one trip was not enough and she felt compelled to photograph the country in depth for herself.

Artist's Statement - HAITI: I asked to go to Haiti


for an assignment in 2005 - but that first trip
was not enough. I needed to photograph Haiti
in depth, for myself. These pictures were taken
in Haiti between 2005 and 2007, in Gonaives,
Jeremy, Port-de-Paix, Anse Rouge, Fatima la
Coupe, La Pointe, Anse a Foleur, Sainte Anne,
Chansolme, Saint-Louis du Nord, Sources
Chaudes, et Bassin Bleu.
