Slow paced Smooth transition between shots Relaxed: Shot of landscape to relax the audience (Sun and sea view) How are you going to meet these conventions in your video? Style (in-concert and as live footage; animation (stop motion, digital); interpretative; narrative; impressionist; surrealist; pastiche; parody; referencing; homage) As the meaning is about so many thing going on at any one time, I am going to film the exact opposite by filming shots of peaceful scenery along the River Thames and around Henley. The music videos purpose is to take you away from the busy environment and give you time to relax. At The end of the video it starts to bring the audience back into civilisation (cars driving past). The video together represents the morning, afternoon, and evening of one day. Lighting The lighting that I will be using in my video will be mainly natural light throughout the video. I am using natural light for the purpose that it isnt in your face and the evening when the sun is setting is the most peaceful time of day. Locations Henley river side King James Field Shot types Wide angle Panning Close up Extreme close up Worm eye view Mid shot Research What music videos have you watched to research your genre? Or research into my music video I have been looking at very laid back music such as Moby, Pink Flloyd, Jean Michel Jarre. All These artists make you feel peaceful even in a busy environment. How have these videos influenced the decisions made? Include screen shots of the key influences These artists have influenced me to use a lot of scenery within my music video and to take more relaxed approach instead of having lots going on in the video. Lyrics Insert the song lyrics below In my dreams I'm dying all the time, Then I wake it's kaleidoscopic mind I never meant to hurt you, I never meant to lie So this is goodbye, This is goodbye Tell the truth, You've never wanted me Tell me In my dreams I'm jealous all the time, When I wake I'm going out of my mind Going out of my mind Meaning of the song Does the song have a meaning? If so, what is it? I believe that the songs meaning is that the world is such a diverse place, and that so many things are going on at any one time and everything constantly changes. So sometimes the best thing to do is take yourself away from everything. How will your visuals relate to the song? (Illustrate, Amplify or Disjuncture) As the song is very downtempo and ambient, the shots will been more relaxing then stimulating Storyboard Insert your storyboard here Think carefully about the shots you will be using. Consider the range of shots/angles to give interest and perspective. Script Description of what will happen in your video inc. camera movements, angles etc Mood board Create a mood board showing what look your music video will have. Add images showing ideas of mise-en-scene characters costumes and colours that will be present in the different shots.
