Nylon 6,6

Nylon 6,6 is a semi crystalline poly-amide commonly used in fiber applications such as
carpeting,clothing and tire cord.
The polymer is made of hexamethylenediamine and adipic acid, which give nylon 6-6 a total of
12 carbon atoms in each repeating unit, and its name.
It is also used as an engineering material in bearings and gears due to its good abrasion
resistance and self-lubricating properties.
