Planning research for music video

Location
For the location I shall be using a class room with the green
screen, this is because with the green screen I can make the
background look like anything I would like, this opens up my
options a lot more and if I feel the area doesnt look good, I
can easily change it.
Then, during the montage, I will use a variety of locations for
interesting cuts, for the cutaways, I will need to used isolated
areas, as this is meant to be a place of peace in which the
character can gather his thoughts.
Props and costumes
I will need two separate costumes for this music video, the
performance in which I am on the stage will involve me in
wearing a blazer/suit. Then, when I am deep in thought, I
shall be wearing a casual pear of jeans and a T-shirt.

For props, the only one I will need is a mic for the main
performances.
Music Video Research

The artist will usually appear in the video to , they will lip sync to
the video along with performing in it, if its a band they will also be
in the video, this allows the audience to connect with them and
also raises the awareness of the song. Examples of this are

The video will often have a variety of camera movements to
create a dynamic look, an example of this can be see with

Shooting Schedule
The initial shooting should be done early on for the music video, this is because
the locations fairly close to the school and some are even inside the building
therefore I don't have to worry about the time it will take to travel.

I plan to start filming on the 03/02/14, this will mean I have plenty of time to film
the project and if something was to go wrong, then I would have plenty of time to
go back over it and correct any mistakes and make the improvements needed to
get the grade I need. Also by filming early, once it has all been recorded I can
then start editing and get a first draft done so that it can be marked and I can
receive the feedback needed to improve
Risks
During the shooting of this music video I do not
expect there to be any major risks. This is because
most of the shooting will be done inside a form of
building, however for the shots I am doing outside
I will only need to watch out for cars when walking
in the streets so I am not struck down by one.
Budget
The budget for the music video
is 6500, this is because the
equipment will be rented and
due to the deposits and taking
the camera out for 3 weeks the
total cost will come to 2250,
then the cost for the PC to edit
the software will cost 4250.
We will need to rent a camera,
2 different lenses and a tripod
to do the filming. The other
choice was to use a Mac Pro,
however to purchase one with
the full specs, it would of cost
over 17,000, it made no sense
to purchase this as you can get
a more advanced PC for a
cheaper cost.
