February Themes Friendship & Valentines Day Post Office Color--pink Shape--heart Calendar February 13th & 14th-- Valentines Day Parties February 17th 21st -- Closed for winter vacation February 26th & 27th Caps for Sale @ 11:45 February 26th Open House @ 6 pm Extended Day Calendar February 6th & 7th February 13th & 14th (snow day make-up) Special Extended Day February 3th - Monday 12:00-3:00 February 12th Wednesday 12:00-3:00 February 28thFriday 12:00-3:00 MWF parents may sign-up for their child to stay at school until 3:00. The day consists of lunch, a special program and quiet time watching a storybook on DVD. $25 fee. Sign-up sheet will be posted on Parent Board. THANK YOU! Thank you to all that donated items to our classroom: Brandon Wipes and strawberries; Jonah tissues; Elina Bunny crackers, Fig Newtons and hand sanitizer. Valentine Exchange Preschoolers are welcome to bring in Valentine cards for their friends. Valentine mail boxes will be set up in the classroom. It is easiest if individual names are not written on the envelopes. The children will bring home their boxes to open and enjoy with their families. We have 10 children in the T/TH class and 12 in the MWF class (this includes your child). Valentines Day Parties Volunteer to contribute an item for the classroom party. Sign-up will be posted on parent board. Wanted: We are looking for donations of stationery, note cards, paper, envelopes & stickers for our post office. The children will be busy writing and mailing cards in the dramatic play area! Volunteers Are you a construction worker? Farmer? Doctor? Crossing guard? Physical Therapist? Chef? Police Officer or maybe a Nurse? Whatever you do, we would love you to visit and tell the children about your job. Let us know! We will begin our Community Helper curriculum theme in March. Play on the Stage On Feb. 26th & Feb. 27th the children will be acting out the book, Caps for Sale, on the stage at 11:45 prior to pick up time. Please remember to send in a hat on the 24th & 25th. They will be used in the play. Fundraising Meeting A meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, February 4th, at 7 pm. This is a parent-led initiative and all parents are invited! Our special thanks to the parents! The teachers are truly appreciative!. Open House Free music & motion event Wednesday, Feb 26th, at 6 pm in the gym. The classroom will be open, too. Please help get the word out about our preschool. Invite your friends who have young children. Registration for 2014-2015 Register your child now for the next school year. Current families must fill out a new registration. Registration forms will be placed in childrens cubbies.
