Project Batch Formation Notice

PROJECT WORK All VII Semester BE (CSE) students are required to form batches for their VIII semester Project Work. Course Details Subject Code /Name: CS812 Project Max IA marks: 50 Credits: 18 Max SEE marks: 50

Project batches must have THREE/FOUR students. Batches must consist of only CSE students (any section). Students need to write the batch details, preferred topic and guide in the file kept in Lab-3. The guide allotment will be done by the Department taking into consideration the topic and preferred guide as far as possible. The last date for submitting the project batch details is 19-12-2012.

Guidelines for External Projects 1. The company/Organization has to give an acceptance letter permitting the students to carry out their project work in their premises. 2. Students are free to carry out their project work only on week days except Fridays and Saturdays in the Company premises. 3. Demonstration of the project is a must at the College both during internal evaluation and the final exam. 4. Providing source code is mandatory. 5. A project guide (external guide) is to be allotted by company/organization for supervising the progress of the project work. the

6. An internal guide will be allotted by the Department for every external project work. In consultation with the external guide, the internal guide must be permitted to oversee the progress of the project work at the company premises at suitable times. (At least one or two demos are a must.) 7. Students carrying out external projects will have to submit synopsis / functional specification of the project work. 8. The internal guide will take the opinion of the external guide before the final evaluation. Synopsis Format Synopsis must include the following: 1. Features of the project 2. Functional requirements, clearly specifying inputs and outputs 3. Application areas of the project
