Minimum Qualification and experience as per AICTE norms Engineering and Technology Programmes

1. Assistant Professor First Class Bachelors or Masters Degree in the appropriate branch of Engineering / Technology. Candidates with Masters Degree and 1 - 2 years of teaching experience will be preferred. 2. Associate Professor Ph. D. Degree with first class at Bachelors or Masters Level in the appropriate Branch of Engineering / Technology with 2 years experience in Teaching / Industry/ Research at the level of Assistant Professor or equivalent. OR First class at Masters Level in the appropriate branch of Engineering / Technology with 5 years experience in teaching / Industry / Research at the level of Assistant Professor or equivalent. Such Candidates will be required to obtain Ph. D. degree within a period of 7 years from the date of appointment as Associate Professor. 3. Professor Ph. D. degree with first class at Bachelors or Masters level in the appropriate branch of Engineering / Technology with 10 years experience in Teaching / Industry / Research out of which 5 years must be at the level of Associate Professor and or equivalent.

Basic Sciences and Humanities


4. Assistant Professor Good academic record with at least 55% of the marks or an equivalent grade of B in the 7 point scale with letter grades O, A, B, C, D, E & F at the Masters degree level, in the relevant subject from an Indian University, or, an equivalent degree from a foreign University. Candidates with Ph. D. and relevant teaching experience will be given preference.
