Inventor Practical1 Tutorial Sheet-1

This document provides instructions and examples for three exercises in Autodesk Inventor practical session 1. Exercise 1 involves drawing basic sketches using precise input tools. Exercise 2 involves drawing dimensioned sketches using lines, rectangles, and constraints. Exercise 3 builds on Exercise 2 by adding arcs and dimensions to more complex sketches. The examples are meant to construct 3D models and become revolved components. Dimensions and constraints are required to fully define the sketches.

__________________________________________________________________________________ Exercise #2

Draw the sketches shown below using the Line and Two point rectangle tools. Add the required constraints and dimensions to complete the sketch. The dimensioned sketches should look as shown below. In Exercise 2.2 use the linear diameter dimension, as the sketch will alter be used as the cross-section of a revolved component.

Example 2.2

Exercise #3

Draw the sketches shown below as described in Exercise 2. Since the sketches contain arc segments, use the line and arc commands. Alternatively, use the Line command and the left mouse button to drag and construct arcs while using the line command.

Add the required constraints and dimensions to complete the sketch. The dimensioned sketches should look as shown overleaf.
