The St. Louis Park City Council adopted a 10-year plan called Connect the Park! to construct additional sidewalks, trails, and bikeways. A meeting was scheduled for November 6th to provide updates on the preliminary design of a proposed sidewalk on Walker Street from Quebec Ave to W 37th Street. Residents could attend to review and comment on the preliminary plans and design considerations for the project before it is submitted to the City Council for approval.

October 24, 2013 On June 17, 2013 the St.

Louis Park City Council adopted a plan to construct additional sidewalks, trails, and bikeways over a 10-year period as part of the Vision St. Louis Park initiative. This plan, known as Connect the Park!, was developed through a communitywide participation process that spanned several years. In July we sent out a letter notifying residents that surveying and preliminary design operations were beginning on a proposed sidewalk in your area. The proposed sidewalk location is listed below. Proposed Sidewalk Location: Walker Street S (From Quebec Ave to W 37th Street) Proposed Side of Street: South Side You are invited to attend a neighborhood meeting: Meeting Date: Wednesday, November 6 Meeting Time: 6:00 7:30 pm Meeting Location: Municipal Service Center (MSC) Multi-Purpose Room 7305 Oxford Street, St. Louis Park, MN, 55426 At the meeting staff will provide project updates including; preliminary design progress, sidewalk design considerations, and a design schedule. Residents will have an opportunity to review and comment on the preliminary plans for this proposed project. This meeting will focus on the proposed sidewalks and trails in your area. We encourage you to attend. If you cannot attend, or if you would like us to have a site-specific meeting with you at your property, please contact the project engineer to arrange an individual meeting. The City will hold at least one additional neighborhood meeting to provide residents with the opportunity to view and comment on the sidewalk design before it is brought to the City Council for final approval.
