The proposed structural strengthening works at the concourse basement floor of Suria KLCC in Kuala Lumpur involved modifying part of the existing carpark area into retail space. To address the structural issues caused by this change in usage, the flat slab was strengthened using 2000 meters of externally bonded Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer laminate, which was also applied around new openings for mechanical and electrical ducting.
