9. To end, using all strands, tie an overhand knot.

Neatly trim both ends of the bracelet leaving 2" on each end.

Vertical Double Half Hitch


Step a. Place the first (working) strand under second strand, tie a double knot holding the second strand straight. Step b. Using the same first (working) strand, tie a double knot around the third strand. Step c. Then tie a double knot around the fourth strand. This finishes the first row. Step d. After tying several rows you can see the pattern forming.

Finished length: 7" Materials needed: DMC Floss: 1 Skein of Lemon (#307) 1 Skein of Christmas Red (#321) 1 Ladybug button 2 Daisy flower buttons You will also need scissors, a ruler, masking tape and a piece of heavy thread or dental floss. To make your bracelet: (Before beginning, see drawings of Overhand Knot, Vertical Double Half Hitch and Easy Bead Threading that are used on this project.) 1. Cut two 30" lengths of Lemon floss, and two 30" lengths of Red floss. Line up ends of all strands and tie an overhand knot 2" from end. Tape the loop to the table. 2. For the first row, use one strand of Lemon floss to tie three vertical double half hitches. Repeat with another Lemon strand and then the two Red strands. Repeat this pattern for 2-14". 3. Thread a flower button onto the second strand of floss. 4. Repeat Step 2 for 1". 5. Thread the ladybug button onto the second strand of floss. 6. Repeat Step 2 for 1". 7. Thread a flower button onto the second strand of floss. 8. Repeat Step 2 for 2-14".

Easy Bead Threading


Step a. Use a 6length of heavy thread or dental floss, fold in half and thread the cut ends through a bead, leaving a 2 loop on one side of the bead. Step b. Place the filler cords through the thread loop and pull loop and floss through the bead hole.
