http://www.slideshare.net/3246/famous-music-directors http://catherinedunnmediaa2.blogspot.co.uk/2012/10/music-video-directors.html SYNOPSIS: Understanding who makes music videos will help you when it comes to your evaluation and your exam as you can make comparisons. There will be some media codes and conventions that music directors ensure they include in their own videos - research these and present your findings. TASK: Research 5 different music directors and watch some of the videos that they have made. THINGS TO THINK ABOUT: What similarities and differences can you see? What elements of media language are you noticing? Do they have a particular style? Do they only work on particular genres of music?

SUMMARISE what have you learnt from this research THINK do you need to pick one style and stick to it? PRESENTATION IDEAS: Create TOP TRUMP cards for the directors. On each card have all the details that you have found out about the directors. Include TERMINOLOGY when discussing the media language (camera angles, mise en scene, editing). GRADING: A/A* - the research and presentation will be excellent. Terminology will be used extensively. B/C the research and presentation will be good. Terminology will be used. Audiences will be discussed D The research and video will be proficient. It will be complete but the detail may be limited.

E Work will be complete.
