Learn the basic steps of a Finite Element Analysis Perform each step of a Finite Element Analysis in I-DEAS Learn to do a FEA of a truss structure

Lab Tasks
If you have not previously used I-DEAS, go through the basic solid modeling tutorials found online from I-DEAS Help Help Library Tutorials Simulation 1. Modeling Fundamentals. You do not need to show these to the T.A. and you do not need to finish all of these before completing the required tutorials. Complete the following online tutorials from I-DEAS Help Help Library Tutorials Simulation 2. Simulation Projects: 1. Introduction to Simulation, 2. What is Finite Element Modeling? Complete the online tutorial found on the web at: www.me.mtu.edu/~bettig/MEEM4405/TrussAnalysis.pdf.

Deliverables
Show the following FEA models, results and hand calculations to your T.A. Your work is due 1 week after the end of your lab session.
