Juncture

A juncture is pause in the sentence to change the meaning of the sentence Example s: Sarah / wash the floor everyday. Allan/ walk along the street to buy food. Jake / swim carefully to win the game.

Making Announcement
Announcement is the act of making known publicy. Example: What : Dancing Contest Where: Brgy. 35 at the Gym When :August 15, 2013 , 10.50 A.M Who :Professional dancers

Stress
Stress is compound nouns can change their meaning based on stress Example: The editor was not satisfied with the rewrite of the second edition.

Antonyms
A word opposite in meaning to another. Examples: in, out tall, short

Synonyms
Are words with the same or similar meanings Examples: Big,giant small,little

Prefixes and Suffixes


A prefix is placed at the beginning of a word to modify or change its meaning Example: aside, aback atheist, anaemic abdicate, abstract entangle, enrage

Suffix is an affix which is placed after the stem of a word. Example: dogs oxen bigger he is sleeping

Kinds of Sentence
Declarative sentence is an example of a sentence which gives information . Example: I eat delicious food yesterday. Interrogative Sentence is a sentence of inquiry that asks for a reply. Example: Where is your house? Imperative Sentence is expressing a command or begging. Example: Please get my pencil . Exclamatory Sentence expresses a strong feeling. Example: Ouch you step my foot
