Shuttdown Problem with operating Systems: Taking too much of time to shutdown the PC after the command given

like shutdown. In Windows 2000 and XP: May be a problem with Terminal Services ie., 1.Remote Desktop 2.Fast User Switching 3.Remote Assistance 4.Terminal Server If we aren't using like these Terminal Services need not to run so stop the service. To stop the service: Select the Run dialog box (Start > Run) Then type it as Services.msc /s and enter.

Now the screen - Terminal Service will display then select the appropriate service and change the Startup type Disable (or) Manual then click OK

In Windows 2000 Pro (or) Windows XP: Run the command gpedit.msc from Run Command menu, now the menu open like Explorer

On left panel Select., Computer Configuration\Windows Settings\Security Settings\Local Policies\ Security Options

On Right Panel

Select., Select., Shutdown: Clear Virtual Memory Pagefile. If this option Enabled mean Select Disabled then Click OK. Now the system will Shutdown Properly For Reference go to the Help Topic then search the SHUTDOWN TROUBLESHOOTER
