Transmitter Yagi Antenna Guidelines: Honeywell
Warning! Always use caution when installing this antenna. You can be seriously injured if this antenna comes near or in contact with a power line. Follow all local and national electrical code requirements when installing a Transmitter with a Yagi antenna. Follow these guidelines for using a Transmitter with a Yagi Antenna. The following model numbers are covered here: Transmitters WI553 WI554 WT534R WT534T Dual Analog Input Interface with Integrated Yagi Antenna (4-20 mA) Dual Analog Input Interface with Integrated Yagi Antenna (0-10 V) Temperature Transmitter with Integrated Yagi Antenna (RTD) Temperature Transmitter with Integrated Yagi Antenna (Thermocouple)

Point the end of the Yagi antenna in the direction of the Base Radio. Do not use the Transmitters process connection to support the Yagi antenna. It is recommended to use a bracket to support the additional weight of the antenna. Do not mount a Yagi antenna on a structure, vessel or pipe subject to large shock or excess vibration. We generally recommend remote mounted or split architecture sensors when using the high-gain Yagi antennas. Using a remote sensor allows the electronics unit and the antenna to be mounted on a high, open and stable base for optimal transmission distance. Attach a bracket to the stainless steel coupler, NOT to the shaft of the Yagi antenna. Make sure that the drain holes are facing down- on the bottom of the antenna. They provide drainage for moisture. The drain holes are located between the elements and are labeled with stickers that say: Drain holes.
