Nexus Pro Flash Guide
Step 1: Installing the driver. (Note: install the driver before attaching device)
Double click the icon to install the driver. Use all default values when installing the driver. After the drivers are installed then attach the device to the computer and the TVs RS232 port. For the first connecting, the computer will recognize and automatically install the USB device. The process is just like the installation of a USB disk.
The MtkTool does not need to be installed. After connecting the TV with your PC, double click icon, open the MtkTool program. Once in the program make sure the following are set correctly. 1- Select mode of Flash chip to MT538X as the below picture. 2- Refer to section below the image to select the right communication port. 3- Press the icon beside the baud rate and make sure it is green as the below picture. 4- Set the flash baud rate to 115200 as the below picture. Click Browse button, navigate to the folder that has the upgrade files and select the proper one for the TV you are flashing. Below is a guide for the appropriate file Nx4203P - LTD42W29NUS_E005_r1.05_0924_INPUT.bin Nx4703P - LTD47W29US_E005_r1.05_0924_INPUT.bin Nx503P - PHD50W29PUS_E004_r1.04_0925_input.bin Nx603P - PHD60W29PUS_E004_r1.04_0925_input.bin Press Upgrade button and start upgrading.
Open Device Manager and find which port is connected with the TV. In above picture, COM4 is connected to the TV; so, select COM4 in the MtkTool main interface. Select the right baud rate. Also make sure the baud rate is set to the right setting on the device in the device manager. It will have successfully finished once the Upgrade button has returned to saying upgrade. Once it is flashed turn the power off on the TV and then turn it back on.
