Modem Settings

Note: The latest version of the Nokia PC Suite allows the user to connect to the internet using the mobile phone as modem without having to create a dialer.

PC Configuration (For PC Suite Versions 6.6 to 6.86): 1. Install the Nokia PC Suite 2. Connect the Phone to the PC either via USB Cable, Bluetooth or Infrared 3. Once the phone is already detected and recognized by the PC, run the Nokia PC Suite Application 4. Click on Connect to the Internet button 5. On the One-Touch Access window, click on Settings 6. Choose the Modem on the Select modem Window (e.g. Nokia N70 USB Modem if the phone is an N70 connected via USB; Nokia 6680 Bluetooth Modem if the phone is a Nokia 6680 connected via Bluetooth) 7. Click next 8. On the Select Network Operator window, tick on Configure the connection manually then click next 9. On the Configure connection manually window, enter internet.globe.com.ph (for prepaid accounts, use http.globe.com.ph for the APN) on the Access Point box. Leave the user name and password box blank then click finish 10. Click on the Connect button on the One touch Access Window.

*Note: Your internet browser should not use any proxies. To check settings, follow instructions below:

Using Windows Internet Explorer:

Open internet explorer Go to Tools>Internet Options>Connections>LAN Settings

Uncheck all boxes except Automatically detect settings Click Ok

Using Mozilla Firefox

Open Mozilla Firefox Go to Tools>Options>Advanced Click the Network tab Click Settings Tick Auto-detect settings for this network or Direct connection to the internet Click Ok
