Course Specifics: Textbook: Introduction to Computer Numerical Control (CNC), Fourth Edition, James V. Valentino/ Joseph Goldenberg, Pearson Prentice Hall, 2007.Lab Activities handouts is also distributed. Evaluations: Homework is assigned at the completion of each unit of instruction. The range of review questions will vary at the discretion of the instructor. Periodic pop quizzes will be given to enable the student to clarify complex areas of instruction. There will be two major evaluations during the trimester, one at midterm and another at the end of the trimester (final exam). All quizzes and exams, unless otherwise announced, will be closed book/closed notes. In some quizzes, graph paper will be provided as needed. A note sheet and an equation sheet (NO HOMEWORK) will be allowed during exams. The Total Final Grade is computed on the following basis: Attendance: 5% Homework/Quizzes: 25% Lab Activities: 20% Midterm Exam: 20% Final Exam: 25%
