Arc of Kentucky is an agency that promotes supports and services for those with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
The Arc is a wonderful organization because they serve those of all ages, along with a wide range of intellectual and developmental disabilities (Autism, Down Syndrome, ect.) As well as being there for the individual person, it also serves their families by offering both support and information.
I AM DETERMINED Project
I AM DETERMINED project was created for high school students with IEPs to have a quality transition into adult life. The project puts forth a seven person team called an 'Interagency Transition Team to scan and interpret the current transitional program and process and uses MAPS as a tool to determine appropriate resources for the individual.
