The document describes an experiment to obtain the input and output characteristics of a transistor in a CE configuration. The experiment involves connecting a BC107 transistor in a circuit and taking readings for input characteristics by varying the base-emitter voltage VBE and measuring base current IB at different collector-emitter voltages VCE. Output characteristics are obtained by varying the collector-emitter voltage VCE and measuring collector current IC at different base currents IB. The readings are then plotted on graphs to determine the hybrid parameters including input impedance hie, output admittance hoe, forward current gain hfe, and reverse voltage gain hre.

PROCEDURE:

1. Connect the circuit as shown in figure. 2. For output characteristics Keep IB=10 A by varying VBB. 3. Vary VCC in steps and note down IC and VCE. 4. Repeat step 3 for IB=20 A and 30 A 5. Draw the output characteristics by taking VCE on X-axis and IC on Y-axis for different values of IB. 6. For input characteristics Keep VCE=0, Vary VBB in steps and note down IB and VBE. 7. Repeat step 6 for VCE = 1V and VCE= 2V 8. Draw the input characteristics by taking VBE on X-axis and IB on Y-axis for different values of VCE.
