approach to issues concerning justice. Components of Project: 1. Data: information gathered from interviews 2. Biblical Prayer: Identified verse/passage that pertains to group issue 3. Course of Action: Decide on an appropriate Christ-centered course of action Description: Each group will be made up of 5 people. The group will assign roles to each person in the group according to the specifications. Each group will choose a specific focus that is justice-related. (for example: poverty, abortion, gay marriage, racism in the church, racism outside of the church, prostitution, etc.) The group will interview different people on the street to get an understanding of public opinion/understanding of the issue, then collaborate together to find a passage/verse in the Bible that could be prayed concerning this issue, ending with a biblically based, Christ-centered course of action. Instructions: 1. Decide on a group topic related to a social justice issue. 2. Decide on group roles: a. Who will film (use a Smartphone or any camera students may have) b. Researcher: gathering data on topic c. Film Editor d. Creative Coordinator (functions like producer) 3. Come up with 5-7 interview questions concerning group topic for interviews a. Can be based on desire to cultivate any of the following: knowledge, understanding, analysis or evaluation. 4. Collaborate on a few good times to go out on the street and interview people concerning your topic 5. Collaborate data together in two ways: a. Film footage (identify an iMovie operator in your group or like software to compile the video) 6. Compose a 2 page paper that includes: a. Introduce what group focus was and what group did b. Summary of interview findings c. Biblical prayer pertaining to your issue: give text and explain why it applies d. Identify a course of action: write out based upon class content and bibilical text what your group thinks is a valid course of action concerning your topic.
