Tele Communication

Telecommunication is the exchange of information over a distance through various methods. It can involve people communicating with other people through methods like writing, speaking, or non-verbal cues. Telecommunication can also involve people communicating with machines through computers or machines communicating with people through sensors and gauges. Additionally, machines can communicate with other machines through computer-driven robotics. A basic telecommunication system includes a source that creates a message, an encoder that converts the message into a transmittable form, transmission that sends the message, a receiver that accepts the message, a decoder that converts the message back into its original form, and a destination that is the intended target of the message.

Elements of a Communication System

Source Encoder Transmission Receiver

Decoder
Destination

The Source
Your voice, in the form of audio waves, turns your thoughts into language that can be understood by the person you are talking to

The Encoder
The Microphone changes your voice into a series of Electrical impulses of varying strength

Forms of Transmission
Electrical signals can be sent through wires Or changed into electromagnetic waves and sent through the air Or changed into light and sent through Fiber Optic cables

The Receiver
The antenna or the cord from the wall sort the message out from all the other information being carried in the transmission source

The Decoder
The series of Electrical Impulses change back into sound by making an electromagnet move the cone back and forth in The Speaker

The Destination

You hear the sounds and make sense out of them.
