Abst

This study aimed to analyze factors influencing the relationship between buyers and suppliers at TVS Lucas from the buyer's perspective. Questionnaires were distributed to 21 Lucas TVS employees in Chennai, India to collect information on service performance criteria like delivery, flexibility, responsiveness, commitment, loyalty, communication, and continual improvement. Statistical analysis using SPSS found the supplier relationship through service performance was satisfactory and effective, though some areas for improvement were identified. Suggestions are provided to further strengthen the buyer-supplier relationship.

A Study on Service Performance of the Buyer and the Supplier Relationship With reference to TVS Lucas. - A Buyer's Perspective.

Abstract The study aims to identify and quantify the Buyer - Supplier relationships from the buyers perspective. The objective of this study is to analyze the Factors that influencing the relationship of the Buyer and Supplier in the performance of services from the Buyer Perspective. The factors are analyzed through some of the service performance criterias such as Delivery, Flexibility, Responsiveness, Commitment, Loyalty, Communication and Continual Improvement. The samples of 21 employees, who are from Lucas TVS of Chennai city in India, were questionnaires are distributed and information was collected. The data were analyzed using SPSS (statistical package for social science) version 14 .The statistical tools like Cronbach's Alpha reliability test, Chi Square test and regression analysis were employed for this study. The study reveals the Buyers opinion about the Supplier relationship through the Service Performance was satisfactory and it was found to be effective. A few areas of dissatisfaction are also identified and relevant suggestions are also made to improve the Relationship. From these findings, managerial as well as theoretical implications have been discussed in this study.
