Rosman Verdugo is on a roll.

The 20-year-old third baseman homered in a third straight game, powering high Single-A Fort Wayne to an 11-8 win on Friday at Lake County.

Verdugo hit one home run Wednesday, two on Thursday and drove in two runs on two hits on Friday, including a triple.

Verdugo also walked and scored three runs. He is hitting .262/.380/.667 with seven RBIs.

Verdugo’s four home runs this year are already one off the halfway point to last year’s 10, a career high.

Right fielder Braedon Karpathios (.954 OPS) went 2-for-3 with his first homer.

Catcher Brendan Durfee (.731 OPS) went 1-for-3 with a triple, two walks and two runs scored. Left fielder Jake Snider (.527 OPS) went 2-for-5 with a triple and shortstop Leo De Vries (.654 OPS) went 1-for-4 with a double, an RBI and a walk.

Right-hander Enmanuel Pinales (2-0, 1.32 ERA) struck out eight and allowed two runs on five hits and a walk in five innings in the win.

Fort Wayne is 8-5.

Chihuahuas 13, Albuquerque 6: SS Mason McCoy (.973 OPS) drove in four runs on three hits, including two doubles. 3B Mike Brosseau (.678 OPS) went 3-for-5 with a double, an RBI and two runs scored. LF Trenton Brooks (.962 OPS) drove in three runs on two hits. 2B Clay Dungan (.756 OPS), CF Bryce Johnson (.666 OPS) and DH Yonathan Perlaza (1.018 OPS) all had two hits. C Luis Campusano (1.282 OPS) went 0-for-2 with three walks. LHP Wes Benjamin (1-1, 6.62 ERA) walked four and allowed three runs in five innings in the win.

 

DOUBLE-A SAN ANTONIO (9-4)

Missions 4, Northwest Arkansas 3 (10): 2B Marcos Castañon (.825 OPS) walked and hit a walk-off single for the win. C Brandon Valenzuela (.679 OPS) went 3-for-4 with a double, a walk and two runs scored. 3B Devin Ortiz (.819 OPS) went 1-for-4 with two RBIs, a walk and a run scored. RHP Braden Nett (1.64 ERA) struck out six and allowed one run on four hits and two walks in four innings in the start. RHP Bradgley Rodriguez (1.23 ERA) struck out two in 1⅓ scoreless innings but one hit allowed an inherited run to score as he blew the save. RHP Jose Espada (1-0, 4.26 ERA) struck out the side in the top of the 10th for the win.

 

LOW SINGLE-A LAKE ELSINORE (4-9)

Storm 19, Fresno 6: DH Sean Barnett (.978 OPS) drove in four runs on two hits, including his second homer. LF Alex McCoy (.800 OPS) went 3-for-6 with his first homer, a double, four RBIs and three runs. RF Ryan Wilson (.884 OPS) drove in three runs on three hits, including two doubles. 1B Kaden Hollow (.856 OPS) went 3-for-5 with an RBI and three runs scored.
