The survivors of Oceanic Flight 815 were 1,000 miles off course when they crashed on a lush, mysterious island. Each person possesses a shocking secret, but they've got nothing on the island itself, which harbors a monstrous security system, a series of underground bunkers and a group of violent survivalists hidden in the shadows.

Verne Gay Newsday There's so much to work through, so many details, stories, characters and time dimensions to attend to, that after a while this all starts to feel like a very full meal. Jul 7, 2023 Full Review Maureen Ryan Chicago Tribune The good news is, even if certain events seem fated to occur (and re-occur), even if some are fated to destroy themselves, personal redemption is possible, "Lost" appears to be saying. I am here to say, however, that now is the time to rekindle the love. Conrad C By far the most confusing of the seasons so far, the plot starts to pretzel. "Lost" draws us all back in, though, and reminds us of its quality by making its most standout season yet. Last season's flash-forwards had me losing investment in the characters, but with those removed you slide right back into the suspense. Some of the newer characters really start to feel like they belong in this season. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/10/25 Full Review Jacob B Another great season of television with compelling writing, strong character development, cinematography that still finds new angles 5 seasons in from which to capture the Island, a gripping story that does a good job remaining true to the rules laid out for something that was first introduced in the third season of this show seeing how such elements could risk lowering the stakes and even some fun action sequences. Plus, unlike the fourth season, even the breather episodes feel like they serve a purpose when compared to that one episode from that season which stuck out like a sore thumb all the more because of the shorter number of episodes due to the Writers' Strike making that episode feel like it was beating around the bush. And that's without factoring in that it had the misfortune of following THE most critically acclaimed episode of the entire series. All in all, yet another thrilling season of television. I can see why Lost was such a "you had to have been there" experience back in the 2000's. Shame about the horror stories regarding the final season but I'll cross that bridge when I get to it. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/28/25 Full Review Alice K Love it!!!! That is my favourite yet. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/16/24 Full Review John S Really was a great season of tv, the last two episodes are really well done. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/20/24 Full Review Benjamin H Lost's introduction of time travel makes it a bit too convuluted and its story lacks some focus at times with some weak pacing and certain characters or events not having as much weight as it should have (talking about the likes of Desmond here particularly), but season 5 is still a unique and wildly bold season that sees the narrative balancing a lot of different emotions with great level of detail and some masterful character development (like Locke, Ben and Sawyer). The performances are also once again superb and it sets off the final season nicely. While i do think this is a lot weaker than the first 4 season, i praise Lost for constantly evolving and pushing itself. Every episode is interesting, in spite of quality issues, and i never once had a feeling of fatigue which a lot of shows can have when they last long. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 04/20/24 Full Review Turtle Squad B I just loved it, this season was just perfect. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/29/24 Full Review Read all reviews
