Known for its genre-defining approach, The 7 Fingers bring their mesmerizing new show Duel Reality to the Staller Center for two consecutive nights on Friday, April 11, and Saturday, April 12, at 8 pm.
This otherworldly production showcases The 7 Fingers' unique blend of circus, theater, illusion, music and dance, creating a jaw-dropping performance for audiences of all ages. Set against the backdrop of a tale reminiscent of Romeo and Juliet, two warring families clash in a series of thrilling challenges, each more daring than the last. Amid the chaos, two lovers fight to break free, proving that their connection goes beyond the competition.
The 7 Fingers was founded in Quebec by seven artists, one of whom was interviewed on Staller Center's Backstage blog. Shana Carroll, co-founding artistic director of The 7 Fingers, discusses the company's unique blend of circus and theater and the powerful themes of community in Duel Reality. She also reflects on the company's evolution, their desire to create a new hybrid art form, and the core values of trust and interdependence that are central to their work.
