PHOTOS: Girls Tennis – Dearborn Edsel Ford vs Allen Park

High school girls’ tennis action continued around the Downriver League on Tuesday with one dual meet featuring Dearborn Edsel Ford making the short drive south on Pelham Road to visit Allen Park.

Edsel came in looking to make it consecutive meet victories for the first time this season — after previously losing three meets in a row — following a win vs DRL foe Lincoln Park their last time out on April 24. Allen Park meanwhile was looking to continue their recent positive moment, having won five of their last six meets overall after opening the spring with a loss to league foe Gibraltar Carlson.

With wins in six of the eight flights, the Jags upped their win streak to four overall thanks to a 6-2 win over the visiting Thunderbirds.
