The Summerville Police Department has announced the hiring of Serena Thompson as its new communication strategist.

Thompson, a recent marketing graduate from Florida State University, will be responsible for managing the department’s social media platforms, overseeing its website, and developing content to better share the department’s mission and work with the community.
Though new to Summerville, Thompson is eager to connect with residents and help tell the stories behind the badge.
The department expressed excitement about her arrival, saying her creativity and fresh perspective will enhance its outreach efforts.
