TL;DR Summary
Need help to determine axis orientation of lithium niobate.
Hey, So I have periodically poled lithium niobate crystals in X-cut but they didnt come with orientation flats. I need to determine the orientation of the crystals with non destructive methods.

What is the geometry of the crystals? Does the certification (or certificate of compliance) state a crystal orientation with respect to the geometry?

Has one contacted the supplier with regard to the crystal orientation?

NDT techniques would be X-ray diffraction (XRD) or Electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD).

It's birefringent, you should be able to tell with polarized light.
