Discover the OVHcloud Data Platform
Many organisations find it daunting to set up a solution that can integrate data sources and process them, and create dashboards they can share.
With the OVHcloud Data Platform, you can jump right into your Data Analytics projects and forget about all the technical headaches. This product helps data teams effortlessly create dashboards and analytics applications that are scalable, flexible and resilient, without the hassle of dealing with infrastructure and services.

Why choose OVHcloud?
Open and reversible
We provide database engine solutions with open source licenses (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL, Valkey, Cassandra) or market standards (e.g. MongoDB). What’s more, we are actively involved in a number of communities including the CNCF, the Open Infrastructure Foundation and the OIN. All Public Cloud services are accessible via standard cloud computing APIs.
Pay as you go
Get cloud resources with no contracts, no surprises, and straightforward billing. Say goodbye to pre-provisioning servers, storage and inactive infrastructures – simply create and delete everything as and when you need it. We’ll only charge you for what you use.
Simple and predictable billing
Your resources and services are grouped into projects. This means you can segment your usage to suit your business needs. An invoice is generated for each project at the end of the month, making your admin clear and simple. You can also generate a forecast of your usage and create alerts.
Innovation for Freedom
All your technological or contractual limitations are a thing of the past. Billing is predictable and stress-free. Your data is secure, and your infrastructure can scale globally in just a few clicks.
Certified and compliant
Our cloud infrastructure and services are certified to ISO/IEC 27001, 27017, 27018, 27701 and SOC 2 Type 2 standards. These certifications guarantee the implementation of an information security management system (ISMS) to manage risks and vulnerabilities, as well as an information protection management system (IPMS) for confidential data.
Sustainability
By using industrial innovations such as water cooling in our datacentres, we can achieve the lowest energy consumption on the market. We also recycle and reuse our electronic components.
Your questions answered
What is cloud analytics?
Cloud analytics refers to the use of data analytics services hosted on cloud platforms. This approach uses cloud computing resources from third parties to process and analyse large amounts of data. It brings advantages like scalability, efficiency, and cost savings for IT infrastructure.
How does cloud analytics work?
Cloud analytics involves using cloud-based storage and compute resources to collect, store, and analyse data. Users upload their data to the cloud, where it can be processed by various applications.
These applications often use advanced technologies like machine learning and AI to extract useful insights from data.
What is the difference between on-premises analytics and cloud-based analytics?
On-premises analytics and cloud-based analytics differ in terms of where the data processing infrastructure is located and how it is managed.
On-premises analytics is performed and managed by organisations using their own servers and systems, which requires significant investments in hardware and maintenance.
Cloud analytics, on the other hand, rely on infrastructure managed by external providers, which allows for more flexibility, and slashes costs since businesses pay as they go.
What are the two ways to use cloud analytics?
Analytics as a Service (AaaS): businesses subscribe to cloud services, so they can gain access to ready-to-use analytics tools. They use these tools to start analysing data right away, without needing to configure their infrastructure or software.
Custom infrastructure: businesses build their own analytics tools on public or private cloud infrastructure: this gives them more control over tools and data. They do however require more technical expertise to configure and manage this cloud environment.
Taking into account factors like cost, control and complexity, businesses can pick the approach that best fits their needs.
What is the difference between 1-AZ and 3-AZ regions?
Discover deployment resilience in our dedicated guide.
1-AZ regions use a single availability zone with one or more datacentres. While they offer protection against server and driver failures, they can be vulnerable to datacentre failures, which can cause access issues.
In comparison, 3-AZ regions provide true fault isolation with 3 independent availability zones, each with isolated power, cooling, and network. This architecture means that services remain available even in the event of an entire zone failure.
