TCLtv+ Launches Latest AI Short ‘Memory Maker’
April 18, 2025
TCLtv+, the streaming service offered by consumer electronics company TCL, has debuted the artificial intelligence short film Memory Maker, produced by TCL Studios in partnership with creative agency Native Foreign.
The film is featured on the TCL streaming service in the originals category. Memory Maker is the first AI film short following the launch of the romance Next Stop Paris.
Memory Maker is based on a story idea conceived by Native Foreign founder Nik Kleverov about a future where artists paint human memories to make androids feel alive. Kleverov collaborated on the story with writer Jimmy Mosqueda and TCL’s Chris Regina and Daniel Smith.
Memory Maker is currently on the festival circuit having won several awards including two top honors at Project Odyssey; first place in the Lambda competition and second place in the Eleven Labs competition. In addition, it has won Best Narrative Short Film at The Innovators Film Festival and Best AI Film at Atlanta AI Film Festival, among other plaudits.

“This film has been received so warmly by respected and talented members of our global community,” Catherine Zhang, VP of content service and partnership at TCL, said in a statement. “We are so pleased to be able to showcase this innovative original film for TCL’s audiences.”
“Memory Maker is an example of how AI tools are allowing our studio, Native Foreign, to double down on originals and explore bold new narratives,” Kleverov said in a statement. “As of now everyone in our AI circle has seen the film, and so I’m excited to feature it on TCLtv+ to reach new audiences.”
