BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Kai Widdrington flooded with comments over 'day one' update after girlfriend reveal

Kai Widdrington has been flooded with messages from excited fans as he counts down to his big solo move away from the Strictly Come Dancing ballroom.

The professional dancer previously announced his new headline show, EVOLUTION, which will soon see him travel the country, stopping at venues in Swansea, Doncaster, Leicester, Belfast and Dublin throughout May and June.

It was then in January that Kai revealed his former Strictly co-star Giovanni Pernice is one of the creative producers for the upcoming show and he's also since revealed the cast who will be joining him on stage.

Now, rehearsals for the upcoming string of shows have officially got underway with Kai sharing a photo of himself and his new co-stars on Instagram.

Alongside the post, he wrote: "Day 1 Evolution tour rehearsals done [tick emoji]. Kai-tour.com." And fans were quick to respond to the post with excitement.

Meanwhile, Kai's pal and Strictly 2024 co-star Jamie Borthwhick couldn't help but make a cheeky comment as he posted: "Sorry I couldn’t make it today … see ya bright & early tomorrow! Can’t wait to get started." Kai then joked in response: "Call time 9:30 warm up 10am start."

It comes after Kai went 'Instagram official' with his new partner after reports revealed the pro dancer was dating again following his split from his Strictly co-star Nadiya Bychkova last year.

Kai revealed he has officially moved on as on Thursday (April 17), he took to Instagram with a loved-up snap alongside his new girlfriend. In the adorable photo, the BBC star and Chloe Wells could be seen out in a bar and were looking at one another while sharing a sweet giggle.

"Happiness is underrated," Kai captioned the post, with Chloe quick to respond simply with a red heart emoji in the comments section.
