  • Along with other leading organizations, we were pleased to support the 2025 Washington International Trade Conference to engage in timely discussions on U.S. trade policy – including efforts to accelerate market access for American companies like Coupang – which has enormous implications for our nation’s innovation, leadership, and economic security. Many thanks to Sen. Tim Scott, who shared his insights on these important issues. As a U.S. technology and Fortune 200 company, Coupang drives the sale of billions of dollars of American goods in the Indo-Pacific region. This fuels economic growth and creates jobs here at home.   We’re excited to continue to participate in important policy dialogues, including through Washington International Trade Association (WITA) and other partners, to promote a strong and connected economy.    #Trade #Exports #IndoPacific #AmericanInnovation

  • Our CEO Bom Kim was honored to attend President Trump’s swearing-in and inauguration at the U.S. Capitol building, several balls and dinners organized by the Trump-Vance Inauguration Committee, and other events with Administration and Congressional leaders. Bom had productive conversations about Coupang’s role in driving U.S. exports and offered to work with these leaders to strengthen U.S.-Indo Pacific economic and security ties.    Thank you to Senate Majority Leader John Thune, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Commerce Secretary nominee Howard Lutnick, USTR nominee Jamieson Greer, and National Economic Council Director Kevin Hassett, among others, for such important dialogue.   As an American Fortune 200 retail and tech services company, Coupang helps U.S. companies sell billions of dollars of consumer goods and agricultural products to our customers in South Korea, Taiwan, Japan, and beyond. Together, we can help grow American SMEs, larger brands, and producers who are seeking out new markets. #trade #exports #IndoPacific (Photo credit: Yonhap News)

  • Delighted that Harold Rogers, General Counsel & Chief Administrative Officer of Coupang, co-hosted a dinner conversation with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Neil Bradley and Charles Freeman on the critical role the U.S. private sector can play to advance our nation’s economic and security interests in the #IndoPacific. We learned from leading members of Congress, including Congressman John Moolenaar, Rep. Carol Miller, Rep. Haley Stevens, and Rep. Marilyn Strickland; think tank experts; journalists; and other industry players how those of us in the business and policy community can stay connected to help address key issues in the region. #Coupang is proud to sell billions of dollars of American goods into Korea and Taiwan, serving as an important economic and cultural bridge that supports our shared security interests in these vital markets. We look forward to continuing these conversations and are grateful to all of the leaders who were able to engage in this timely dialogue.
