Chevron New Energies (CNE) was created to accelerate the development of lower carbon solutions that are in demand from customers and help Chevron lower its carbon intensity. We are focused on areas linked to Chevron's capabilities, which aligns with our strategy to leverage our strengths to provide affordable, reliable, and ever-cleaner energy to meet growing demand. These areas include renewable fuels, carbon capture and storage (CCS), hydrogen, lower carbon intensity power, and offsets. These businesses have the potential to generate attractive returns for Chevron, while also creating value for customers by helping to reduce carbon intensity, particularly for hard-to-abate sectors.   We believe we must broaden the conversation to be inclusive of all viable lower carbon solutions to meet global needs. Renewable power alone cannot be expected to meet all the world's future energy needs. While collective national pledges to triple renewable capacity by 2030 have been made, according to the IEA, even if countries implemented their current ambitions, the world would fall 30% short of tripling global renewable power capacity by that date. An "all of the above" set of solutions will be needed to meet that demand reliably and affordably, while also lowering carbon intensity. #LowerCarbon #ChevronNewEnergies #AdvancingEnergyProgress

Chevron and our New Energies organization are excited to announce our joint development with Engine No. 1 and GE Vernova to deliver scalable, reliable power solutions to U.S. data centers running on U.S. natural gas. We plan to deliver up to 4 GW, the equivalent of powering 3-3.5 million U.S. homes, of natural gas-fired projects to data center customers, with initial in-service by the end of 2027. The projects are expected to be designed with the flexibility to integrate lower carbon solutions over time.   We are meeting the moment with a win-win-win for our country, for consumers, and for customers. The project leverages Chevron’s strengths to deliver affordable, reliable, and lower carbon energy to power U.S. data centers, which is key to American economic leadership and our national security. Restaurant Technologies and Chevron Renewable Energy Group (which Chevron acquired in June 2022) collect used cooking oil (UCO) from more than 37,000 commercial kitchens nationwide, every year. The project continues to gain support, with the recent addition of Sheetz family-owned convenience stores.
