Swift explores #blockchain interoperability to remove friction from tokenised asset settlement
In a new set of experiments, Swift will collaborate with more than a dozen major financial institutions and FMIs including Anz (Australia And New Zealand Bank), BNP Paribas, BNY Mellon, Citi, Clearstream, Euroclear, Lloyds Banking Group, SIX Digital Exchange and The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) – to test how firms can leverage their existing Swift infrastructure to efficiently instruct the transfer of tokenised value over a range of public and private #blockchain networks. #ProjectLeap - quantum-proofing the financial system by Bank for International Settlements – BIS
The aim of Project Leap is to help secure the financial system against the threat by quantum computing. It is already feasible to implement quantum-resistant cryptographic protocols. However, implementing them in financial systems raises a number of challenges. Specifically, the lack of flexibility in legacy systems means that a major transition effort will be necessary. Project Leap addresses some of the specific challenges of implementing quantum-resistant IT environments for the financial system, with a view to preparing for this transition and accelerating it. Security Exchange Commission Charges Coinbase for Operating as an Unregistered Securities Exchange, Broker, and Clearing Agency
Coinbase also charged for the unregistered offer and sale of securities in connection with its staking-as-a-service program.
Coinbase had repeatedly asked for guidance by SEC

1yThe usual faces ie major players are certainly looking to get their seats at the blockchain based CBDC table. I see 2025 as the reset date although the cartel are ready to push the button earlier if the crash happens in Q3. They have been spinning those plates for too long.
