Take Action on Political Issues important to you

We’re looking for Action Organizers who want to use our new Political Actions feature to mobilize support or opposition for issues that are important to them. You publish issues and then share them; people enter their address and are matched with their elected officials and shown ways to call/tweet/email/fax/write them, using call scripts and email messages you create for them.

Not just Federal, but State and Local too

While we offer the ability to create Federal issues (like supporting or opposing Cabinet appointments), we also think the next wave of political action must come at the state and local level. And while we think sites like 5calls.org are great, we want to open up the doors and let anyone create issues about national, state, or local issues that are important to them. Additionally, we want to help people take action on those issues with contact info not just for their Federal elected officials, but their state and local officials as well.

Taking The Pledge

We ask people - when entering their address to find their representatives - to Pledge to take action and optionally create an account with us.

Why? For two reasons:

1. We want to tally and share how many people are taking action on each issue, to help organizers see how many people are getting involved and to help the elected officials see just how big support or opposition for an issue is.
2. We want people to come back and discover other issues that might be important to them. By pledging and creating an account, we can match them to our database of other national/state/local issues that match their address and elected officials.

By making people opt-in and want to return to the site and discover other issues, we’re hopefully creating a vast community of politically active people. So when you create your next issue about a local city council vote, we’ll be able to match you up with people who maybe had previously only taken action on a federal issue.

Raise Money For Yourself or Non-Profits

We are also an online fundraising platform. With a few clicks you can set up your account to collect donations for yourself or your local group/club, or you can raise money for one of the verified non-profits and we’ll send the donations to them.
