About Regulating Hydric Acid and The Art of Poisoning Our Brains

What is Hydric Acid and Where could it be Found?

Hydric Acid, aka Dihydrogen Monoxide, is everywhere around us. It is a colorless and odorless chemical compound which can be found in the atomic components of explosive and poisonous compounds such as Sulfuric Acid. It is also a major component of acid rain.

How Harmful is it?

Dihydrogen Monoxide may cause death due to accidental inhalation, even in small quantities, and it has been found in tumors of terminal cancer patients. Prolonged exposure to solid Hydric Acid causes severe burn-like damage. It can also cause severe burns in gaseous state. It is basis of a highly reactive hydroxyl radical which is known to mutate DNA, disrupt cell membranes, and chemically alter critical neurotransmitters.

Do you agree that it should be regulated?

What is Really Hydric Acid?

In 1997 a 14 year old Nathan Zohner was able to get 43 out of 50 of his classmates to vote to ban "Dihydrogen Monoxide" for his science fair project. His project aimed to prove that the use of true facts to proof that people are mostly gullible and that facts can lead the ignorant public to false conclusions.

All what I've said above is accurate and factual. I only omitted the fact that Dihydrogen Monoxide and Hydric Acid are the scientific names of nothing else but Water.

Do you Consider this Fake News?

Was the intent of the omission malicious or did I simply assume that you already knew that Hydric Acid is nothing but Water?

Should we consider news fake only if it contains lies? If a news story, or a politician's statement, references factual information but it is constructed in such a way that it leads the reader to inaccurate or questionable conclusions, would that be considered fake news?

Congratulations. Your page is the top Google search result for Hydric Acid. I applaud your tireless work to keep humankind safe from this insidious chemical. Perhaps you should also start a Dihydrogen Monoxide group and extend your success. If there's one thing I can get into all the way, it's Hydirc Acid

Yes, it would be considered fake news. The above example illustrates "lying by omission" (a type of deception), which occurs when an important fact is left out in order to foster a misconception. Lies may take various forms: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/lie. The news based on lies and deceit is fake :)
