Live keynote reactions as HPE unveils Nvidia AI Computing and Private Cloud AI at Discover 2024
Welcome to Day 1 of SiliconANGLE & theCUBE's live coverage of HPE Discover 2024. Our team of analysts is on-site, breaking down keynote announcements from Hewlett Packard Enterprise's Chief Executive Officer Antonio Neri. Of particular interest were the demos for Private Cloud AI and the Nvidia AI Computing solution.
Neri claims HPE's Private Cloud AI solution will be up and running with just "three clicks" even at its deepest integration. Key points include the "HPE GreenLake console powered by OpsRamp in four flexible sizes, plus all the NVIDIA networking and AI containers," according to theCUBE Research's Principal Analyst Rob Strechay.
"It's time to value," Strechay says.
According to theCUBE Research's Chief Analyst Dave Vellante, private cloud is an area of expansion for HPE, citing this recent market spending data from ETR (Enterprise Technology Research), charted below.
AI factories of the future
The AI factory concept continues to built momentum, as HPE teams with Nvidia for an AI Computing solution.
"The foundation of the AI and data software stack is the Nvidia AI Enterprise software platform and inference microservices. Nvidia AI Enterprise is built to develop and deploy copilots and other generative AI applications quickly. NIM is a set of microservices for optimized AI model inferencing," writes Paul Gillin in his SiliconANGLE coverage.
The focus on hardware is a blast from the past, as the industry must rethink resource allocation for a new era more demanding than ever of energy resources.
"Liquid cooling is something Antonio [Neri] put forth to investors last quarter as a big differentiator," Vellante says, noting it as a "critical tech that is back to the future."
