What a big month for Everything Marketplaces

We're wrapping up a big month in June for the Everything Marketplaces community. Here's a few highlights from our monthly roundup & recap post that I shared: -We're now 2,350+ marketplace founders & teams in the community -We had really incredible group chats with Ravi Mehta (Product Advisor), Bastian Lehmann (Co-founder of Postmates), & Olivia Moore (Partner at Andreessen Horowitz) -We had lots of other online events like our female founders meeting, fundraising meeting, & weekly office hours -We had meetups in London & Chicago -We had lots of founders share wins like launches, closing funding rounds, key partnerships, & also hitting major growth milestones + lots more Looking forward to another big month in July and also sharing some big news for the community soon!

September was another big month for the Everything Marketplaces community. Here's a few highlights from our monthly roundup & recap post I just shared: -We crossed 2,500+ marketplace founders & teams in the community -We crossed an early milestone with 500+ founders completing Marketplace School -We made some big updates to our resources (Marketplace School, Marketplace Jobs, Marketplace Knowledge Hub, etc) -We had really awesome group chats with Scott Gorlick (prev. early Uber) & Ania Smith (CEO of Taskrabbit) -We had a workshop on fundraising with Andrew Blachman (Marketplace Capital) -We had other online events like our female founders meeting, fundraising meeting, & weekly office hours -We had offline events like our meetup in Los Angeles at Crexi -We had lots of founders share wins like launching, closing funding rounds, key partnerships, & also hitting major growth milestones + lots more Looking forward to another big month in October and also sharing some big news for the community soon!

November was another big month for the Everything Marketplaces community. Here's a few highlights from our monthly roundup & recap post I just shared: -We're now almost 2,600+ marketplace founders & teams in the community -We shared previews of some big product & community updates that we'll be announcing soon -We had really awesome group chats with John Mark Nickels (Uber, prev. DoorDash) & Ethan Smith (CEO of Graphite) -We had lots of online events like our female founders meeting, fundraising meeting, & weekly office hours -We had lots of founders share wins like launching, founders raising $35M+ this month, making key hires, & also hitting major growth milestones + lots more Looking forward to another big month in December and some big product & community updates that we'll be sharing next week!

Last week I crossed the one-year mark at Eppo. Today we're announcing our $28M Series B raise. The real reason I joined though was for the team. I wanted to work with some of the smartest folks in experimentation and that just keeps getting better as we've grown the team. I'm still amazed at the wealth of experience I can tap into when I open Slack: folks that have worked on experimentation at LinkedIn and Airbnb and Meta and Uber and Stitch Fix, ex-vendor side pros from Optimizely, Split, and LaunchDarkly, more PhDs than I've ever been in a room with at once except at MIT conferences. I speak to founders every week that struggle with GTM. And I see the same recurring challenges. I’ve seen it firsthand - building a SaaS business is tough. The odds are stacked against you. I wanted to find a way to bring my experience within SaaS together with my experience of helping founders tackle their GTM challenges. It’s why we started Cosmic Collective. Because as a collective we are stronger - especially when it comes to all things GTM. And a big part of our community is our intimate events.
